Professional Experience
I have been working with USAA for almost 2 years as an information security analyst. My main responsibilities are related to risk assessment activities, evaluation of data security solutions, policy development and reporting.
During my time at USAA, I have identified several areas of opportunity for improvement, as a result several automations and process modifications have been implemented, saving considerable amounts of resources and reducing the risk of errors.
I worked with TCSL (Tata Consultancy Services Limited - USA) for 5 years as an IT analyst. During my journey at TCSL my customer was USAA my internal role was Data Analyst and my main responsibilities were associated with the development and implementation of KPI's and KRI's, execution and documentation of controls to full fill audit requirements, python development for automation purposes, design complex SQL queries and translation of business requirements into technical specifications.
Education
As part of my personal development, I have completed the courses 'ML and AI for the Working Analyst' (Aug-2023) and 'Specialization in deep learning' (May-2024) at the college of mathematics Bourbaki.
I obtained an advance degree in Statistical Methods from CIMAT (2021 Aguascalientes, Mexico). During my studies in CIMAT, I learnt and implemented several optimization and ML algorithms.
In 2010 I completed a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Guadalajara (UDG). I acquired a solid foundation in both theoretical and applied mathematical concepts. My coursework spanned a wide range of areas including differential equations, probability, statistics and real analysis. A significant part of my education at UDG was dedicated to developing proficiency in programming languages and software tools like Mathematica.
My studies at CIMAT and UDG not only equipped me with the technical expertise in mathematics but also instilled a lifelong passion for continuous learning and application of knowledge to real-world situations.
